While Laser Hair Removal can be performed any time of year, the fall and winter months are the best time for these reasons:
It is easier to avoid sun exposure
Laser hair removal works by targeting the melanin that lives within the hair follicle. So you want the hair to be darker than the surrounding tissue. In general, most people spend less time outdoors during the colder months and wear more clothing so it tends to be a great time of year to do laser treatments. Having a tan can increase your risk of possible side effects. Therefore, by starting laser in the winter, you can protect your skin from the sun.
You’ll be smooth in time for summer
Laser Hair Removal takes time to complete. To achieve the optimal results you must do a series of treatments spaced approximately 6 weeks apart. So if you start in the fall, the hairs will be lighter and finer by summer!
