Intense Pulse Light (IPL) treatments are non-invasive treatments that help improve skin tone and surface imperfections such as redness, tiny veins, and brown spots associated with aging and sun damage. Smaller pore size and smoother texture are additional benefits. This procedure is ideal for the face, neck and décolleté (chest).
Immediately following a Limelight treatment, brown spots will start to darken and skin may appear slightly red. The treated area may be mildly swollen. This typically lasts a few hours. Make-up can be applied to cover the redness. Within one to three weeks, the darkened spots will begin to crust and flake off. Diffuse redness or tiny veins will decrease and the mottled look of the complexion will improve. For optimal results, three treatments are recommended at intervals of 4 weeks.
CoolGlide® Laser Vein Therapy is a safe and and effective way to treat superficial facial veins. The laser uses a focused beam of light whose wavelength is targeted to the pigment in the blood. The laser heats up the small vein and destroys it without damaging the nearby skin tissue. Number, color, and size of vessels will determine the number of treatments required. Often 1-4 treatments are sufficient. We recommend 6 weeks between treatments. Over a period of four to six weeks, the vein is reabsorbed by the body and disappears.
