Larimar MedSpa is named for the Larimar Stone, a rare form of pectolite only found in the Dominican Republic. It’s believed to help soften and enlighten, and to heal the emotional, physical, mental and spiritual body. Larimar promotes inner wisdom and represents peace and clarity, healing and love. It is reputed to be helpful for those experiencing stress and anxiety.

Larimar MedSpa is Chattanooga’s premier full service medical spa, offering not only personal care services such as indulgent massages and rejuvenating facials, but also light cosmetic procedures. Traditional day spas only provide topical treatment services. Larimar MedSpa goes deep below the surface, revitalizing your skin while at the same time enhancing your overall appearance – from the inside out.

Laser Treatments include CoolGlide® laser hair removal and vein treatment, Titan™ Skin Tightening, LimeLight™ facial, Acne treatments, Laser Genesis™ Skin Therapy, 3D Skin Rejuvenation™, and Endovenous Laser Therapy.

Injectables include Restylane, Juvederm, Botox, and Sclerotherapy.

We provide a full range of esthetic services, including Larimar’s Signature Revitalizing Facial for aging skin, a Clarifying Facial for acne-prone, oily, or combination skin, a Hydrating Facial for dry, dehydrated, or sensitive/stressed skin, and an all-natural Bella Lucce’ Facial.

A variety of chemical peels are also available including combinations of Salicylic and Mandelic Acids (for oily, acneic, and sensitive skin), Glycolic and Lactic Acids (for mature, sundamaged skin), Glycolic and Retinol (for ultra-resurfacing of fine lines and wrinkles), and Lactic and Kojic Acid (for sundamaged, rosacea, or hyperpigmented skin). Also available is the TCA Orange Peel combining physician strength TCA with vitamin C for those wanting to aggressively treat aging and sun damaged skin. Another option for skin resurfacing is Diamond-Tip Microdermabrasion which helps to improve skin texture, reduce age spots, and soften fine lines and wrinkles.

Larimar MedSpa is the only medical spa in Chattanooga offering the HydraFacial™, the newest breakthrough in skin resurfacing technology. The system exfoliates dead skin cells and extracts impurities with a vacuum-based skin abrasion tip. Simultaneously it bathes the healthy underlying skin with active serums that thoroughly cleanse, exfoliate, and hydrate while providing residual antioxidant protection. Treatment and serums are customized for your skins needs.

Our Body Wraps and Scrubs help exfoliate and moisturize skin, leaving it silky smooth and radiant. These treatments are performed in our Vichy shower room.

Our full menu of massages include the Larimar Signature Massage, Deep Tissue Massage/ Sports Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Reflexology, Kinesiology, Cupping and Aromatherapy.

Physicians

R. Hunter Jennings, III, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Certified by the American Board of Surgery and Surgical Critical Care, Dr. Jennings practices general surgery and surgical oncology as a partner with Chattanooga Surgical Oncology & Associates. He received his Doctor of Medicine at Emory University. He completed a residency in surgery and a fellowship in Liver Transplantation and Biliary Surgery in 1989 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. He is currently licensed to practice in both Tennessee and Georgia.

Robert M. Magill, M.D.
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Magill received his Doctor of Medicine from The University of Tennessee Memphis College of Medicine in 1998. He currently serves as Chief of Medicine and Medical Director of Hospitalist Services at Erlanger Medical Center and clinical instructor for the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He maintains privileges at Erlanger Medical Center, Memorial Hospital, and Kindred Hospital.

Jonathan R. Thompson, M.D.
Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Thompson currently practices at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, where he also serves as Associate Director of the Department of Emergency Medicine. He received his Doctor of Medicine from East Tennessee State University, James Quillen College of Medicine in 2001. Dr. Thompson is currently licensed to practice in both Tennessee and Georgia.
